Help Us Help a Student

The Story of the SWOSU Bulldog Angels Fund:

In 2014, the Bulldog Angels Fund was established by Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  It was created to assist any full-time student who may be facing an unexpected hardship with a one-time monetary grant.  Its goal is to prevent a student from withdrawing from SWOSU due to financial Hardship or personal crisis.

SWOSU distinguished alumnus recipient William “Bill” Howell, was able to further his education at SWOSU with the help of a “BULLDOG ANGEL.”  This opportunity not only allowed Bill to Attend SWOSU, but it motivated him to establish the SWOSU Bulldog Angels Fund in hopes of creating a tool to provide relief for students who are experiencing hard times.  Since its formation, the Bulldog Angels Fund has provided assistance to over 30 SWOSU students.  Students receiving the Bulldog Angels grant now have the chance to stay in school.

Each year the SWOSU Foundation sponsors several events and fundraisers to help maintain and preserve the Bulldog Angels Fund.  Events such as #GivingTuesday and the Bulldog Angels Dinner Benefit Auction have brought much attention to the Bulldog Angels Fund.

The Bulldog Angels Fund is an excellent opportunity to help provide support to SWISU students during their time of need.  This resource can help change the course of a SWOSU student’s life and five them the boost they need to finish what they started: pursuing a college education.  We ask that you consider becoming a “Bulldog Angel” today and help us encourage, support, and provide for our students.
