The Kirkland Tract (#03019-03352) is located in the south-eastern part of Ouachita County just west of the Kirkland community. Access to the property is very good via county road #61 running through the southern portion of the tract. The northeast corner of the tract has frontage to AR-Hwy 376. The property has been utilized for timber production. According to USDA soil survey information, the tract is based upon an assortment of fine sandy-loam soils that give the property a weighted average site index of 88.5 feet for loblolly pine (base age of 50 years). Most of the tract currently contains an uneven-aged stand of natural pine with a small one-acre hardwood flat on the northwest corner. An intermittent creek drain runs through the eastern part of the property in a southerly direction. Otherwise, the terrain for the tract features upland hills with the highest point on the west side. Some utilities exist for home site potential with the north half of the tract lying in the Camden-Fairview School District and the south half lying in the Smackover School District.
